Sustainable Development Commission
When we first started work at the Sustainable Development Committee the common use of the word ‘sustainability’ was in its infancy. Feedback showed that people were switching off to environmental issues that seemed too big to solve. The use of imagery in green publications was often hackneyed and predictable. Our brief was to shake things up and visually to bring the discussion back to the everyday level – to relate environmental issues to everyday life and to communicate that small choices on a personal or industry level can make a difference. ‘Any colour but green’ was our mantra.
